H.I.M.: New Video Interview With VILLE VALO Available
August 25, 2006A video interview with H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo, conducted by Toazted.com last weekend at the Lowlands festival in Biddinghuizen, The Netherlands, can be viewed at this location.
In a recent interview with the free Texas weekly publication What's Up, Valo said that H.I.M. will record demos for their upcoming album in September. After that, they'll show the new songs to their label and to Tim Palmer (DAVID BOWIE, OZZY OSBOURNE),who produced "Dark Light", their latest CD. If all goes well, Valo said, they could be in the studio by January and putting out a new album — their sixth — by September 2007.
"I've got a lot of one-liners in lyrics and musical ideas for maybe 12 songs," Valo told What's Up. "But from those 12 maybe six will end up on the album. What we're doing with the band now is trying to figure out the sound and direction with the next one. We don't want to do the same old, same old again. It's probably going to be a bit more aggressive, a bit punkier, faster so to speak."
